Attendee Rules (applies to Dealers, Artists, and Guests):
Do not have fun at anyone else’s expense. (e.g., teasing, abusing, stalking, mocking, chasing, etc.)
Must be dressed within legal codes of attire. (Hotel may set special standards if need be)
Echo games such as “Marco Polo” and “Buttscratcher” are not allowed.
If you have an alcoholic beverage in your possession, you must have ID. Chibi-Pa has no tolerance for underage drinking.
Sexual acts in public are not allowed anywhere in the hotel.
Please use the trash bins.
No stuffing hotel rooms beyond room occupancy limits.
Please be courteous to hotel staff. Use the trash cans in your room and do not be afraid to tip if you are leaving a mess in your room.
Tip at the restaurant if gratuity is not automatically applied to your bill.
Anyone reporting false alarms of abduction, rape, or illness will be asked to leave.
No Refunds. This includes pre-reg or at-the-door purchase of admission.
All weapons with a trigger must be bonded so that the trigger can not be pulled.
Aiming a weapon in a threatening way, even with a peace-bonded weapon, may end with your removal from the event. (Not everyone knows that your BB gun has been peace-bonded)
Swords with metal blades are not permitted at Chibi-Pa. Guns and other weapons must be peace-bonded. We will check weapons for zip ties. If a weapon can not be peace-bonded, it is not allowed into the event. If a person is caught with a metal weapon, you will be asked to remove the weapon from the premises. If you do not comply, the weapon may be confiscated or you will be asked to leave.
If you are being harrassed, locate either a Chibi-Pa staff member or hotel staff. Never use any personal protection items, such as mace, tasers, or pepper spray, in the event.
Rules for Dealers and Artists:
All adult material must not be within site of minors.
IDs must be provided in order for any attendee to buy adult material.
Airsoft guns and ammunition are not allowed to be sold.
Personal defense weapons, such as tasers, pepper spray, mace, or any other item along these lines, are not allowed to be sold.
Weapons sold on-premises must be taped in such a way that the item cannot be opened without scissors or a knife.
If any dealer is found selling illegal copies of something, we may ask them to leave without refund.
Any dealer leaving the Dealer Room before closing hours will be put on a waiting list for next year’s event. It does not look good on an event to close or leave early.
Refund for cancellation is only provided after the show if we were able to find a replacement dealer for the empty spot. We will fill empty spaces before trying to fill canceled spots.
No fireworks, explosives, or incendiary devices allowed.
Any dealer selling any item that is against local, state, or national laws will be evicted without refund.
Dealers must keep their areas clean and not allow merchandise to overflow into walkways.
Dealers are allowed to ship items to the hotel. Dealers are responsible for contacting the hotel about receiving packages.
Dealers are responsible for filing for all tax, permits, and insurance forms.
Dealers are not allowed to make obnoxious announcements.
Dealers are allowed to play music but not in a way that disturbs guests, staff, or other dealers.
Electricity is available, but dealers are responsible for bringing cords and securing the cords so as not to cause a trip hazard.
All spaces include two chairs and one six foot table. Any extra tables must be arranged beforehand, and there may be an extra charge.
Tables may be arranged in any manner as to not block a walkway or cause a fire hazard.
Nothing shall be taped to walls or ceilings.
False walls and shelving are allowed, but dealer accepts all liability for injuries and damages.
Chibi-Pa and the Marriott will not be held liable for any displays and/or items sold by any dealer.
Dealers are allowed to attend events at Chibi-Pa but should keep in mind that attendees should have first rights.
Chibi-Pa maintains the right to change and/or add rules and regulations at any time.
Dealers must apply for a food permit with the state and are only allowed to sell items not available at the hotel.
Artists are not allowed to sell anything that would be considered infringing upon copyrights.
There is a 50% discount for any artist providing something we can use in print ads, online, or fliers.
Artists may also be able to negotiate a discount for hosting panels or events.
Artists may not sell any type of food item.
Artists may not sell any item that conflicts with products available in the Dealer Room.
